The cover of "The Traveler and the Gate Checkers was painted in watercolor by Vicky Villanueva Firestone. Vicky is a 1984 graduate of the Universtiy of Sto. Tomas in Manila, Philippines with a degree in Fine Arts. She is also the sister-in-law of the author.
Vicky also painted the cover and did all of the sketches of Ted Lerner's first book, "Hey,Joe."
